Activities: NVCOG’s Revolving Loan Fund Committee loaned Pay Dirt, LLC a loan of $225,000 to conduct cleanup activities at the former Hotchkiss Brothers Company facility located at 199 Water Street and 229 Church Street, Torrington. Redevelopment plans for the 3.29-acre site call for the rehabilitation of two and demolition of five existing structures to create a mixed-use residential project consisting of 155 apartments, 14,000 square feet of commercial space, and several community amenities, and incorporate a planned extension of the Naugatuck River Greenway along the western portion of the property.
Project Status: The developers and NVCOG have executed a loan agreement. Environmental activities are underway.
