Route 8 Alt Modes Study Public Meeting

The NVCOG invites members of the public to learn about the recommendations of and provide comments on the final draft of the Route 8 & Waterbury Line Corridor Transit Oriented Development and Alternative Modes Assessment Project. This study has spent several years reimaging transit in the Naugatuck Valley and will present three major points:
- Improvements to the Waterbury Rail Line,
- Bus Rapid Transit along Route 8
- Transit Oriented Development projects near major transit hubs
Draft documents can be found on the study website here. The meeting will take place virtually and in-person at the offices of the Valley Transit District. Waterbury Line trains in both directions arrive at the Derby-Shelton Station shortly before the meeting begins at 6:30 PM.
