As part of NVCOG’s Municipal Shared Service programming, member municipalities are encouraged to share public works equipment. Doing so saves costs of purchasing or renting equipment that would receive limited use.
Public works staff of the municipalities procuring and loaning the equipment determine the loan arrangement. In general, ensuring staff from the municipality will operate the equipment in the town requiring it is encouraged to negate issues related to equipment maintenance and damage.
