2024 Monitoring Update – Bridgeport-Stamford Congestion Management Process
Transportation Management Areas, or urban areas with populations greater than 200,000, must maintain a congestion management process (CMP), whereby transportation decisions are made taking into account impact to congestion on the national highway system. With a significant portion of the NVCOG’s territory falling in the Bridgeport-Stamford Urban Area, the NVCOG, along with WestCOG and CT MetroCOG maintain and regularly report on a congestion management process. This document is the 2024 monitoring update to the 2022 CMP.
Federal Fiscal Year 2025-2028 TIP – GBVMPO
The TIP, prepared by GBVMPO and CTDOT, is a federally-required four-year funding schedule of highway and transit projects paid for by federal, state, and local funding sources. The 2025-2028 TIP goes into effect at the beginning of Federal Fiscal Year 2025, which is October 1, 2024.
2022 NVision Zero Regional Report
To advance the region’s goal of eliminating traffic fatalities and serious injuries, the NVCOG has prepared the first annual progress report of crash data and actions taken to improve roadway safety.

2023 Naugatuck River Greenway Trail Project Priorities
This document details all identified sections of Naugatuck River Greenway Trail and lists those that are complete or currently in development. Criteria used to identify regional priorities are discussed, and those priority sections are listed. The document was endorsed by the Naugatuck River Greenway Steering Committee on November 8, 2023.
NVCOG VMT Reduction Strategy
In response to the CTDOT’s VMT Reduction Goal, the NVCOG Board adopted this strategy in September of 2023 to identify strategies and prioritize projects aimed at reducing Vehicle Miles Traveled within the region.

NVision50, the CNVMPO’s 2023 update to the MTP, provides a framework for making the region’s roads safer, reducing congestion and environmental impact, and ensuring that all residents and visitors to our region can get where they need to go.
Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Goal 2022-2025
The Naugatuck Valley Council of Government’s overall goal for the following time period 2022-2025 is 4.06% of the Federal financial assistance we will expend in DOT-assisted contracts funded directly by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA).
