Project Type: Cleanup Planning
Activities: The Borough of Naugatuck was sub-granted $70,000 in to complete a limited Phase II, Phase III and Remedial Action Plan at 226 Rubber Ave. Environmental data collected on site will help the Borough determine redevelopment options for future reuse. An additional $90,000 was subgranted by the RLF Committee for remedial activities on the site.
Project Status: SLR International was contracted for environmental oversight and assessment activities have concluded.
Public Meeting: NVCOG and the Borough of Naugatuck will host a public information meeting to present key updates on upcoming remedial work and answer public inquiries regarding cleanup on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 6:00 PM. The meeting will be held in the Commissioners Corner in Naugatuck Town Hall located at 229 Church Street, Naugatuck, CT 06770.
