Activities: NVCOG’s Revolving Loan Fund Committee has approved a loan of $748,250 to 281 Canal Shelton, LLC to conduct cleanup activities at the former Ascom Hasler facility. The 1.87-acre site, located along the Housatonic River in downtown Shelton historically operated as a crucible and wire manufacturing facility, and currently contains a vacant, 82,000 square-foot structure. Redevelopment plans call for a new four story, mixed-income residential building that will contain approximately 130 apartments.
Project Status: NVCOG and 281 Canal Shelton, LLC have executed a loan agreement, and environmental activities are going.
