The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that there will be a road closure of West Main Street in Waterbury for the construction of Bridge 00600R starting on Friday, October 26 at 9:00 p.m. to Monday, October 28, 2024, at 5:00 a.m. The work consists of construction of structural steel using cranes, excavators, and other large equipment.
CTDOT Project No. 0170-3320 was awarded to Mohawk Northeast Inc at a cost of $10,185,146.40 on January 24, 2023, and is scheduled to be completed July 19, 2025. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 5 in New Haven.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
West Main Street will be closed from 9:00 p.m. on Friday, October 26 to 5:00 a.m. on Monday, October 28, 2024. There will be no access west or eastbound through West Main Street at the intersections of Sperry Street and Thomaston Ave. Detours will be set up to redirect traffic. Police will guide motorist around the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
