Naugatuck, Oxford, and Seymour Regional Flood Resilience Project Public Meeting
December 12, 2024 @ 6:00 pm EST
The Naugatuck Valley Council of Governments (NVCOG) is working with local governments in nine municipalities to design upgrades for failing culverts & drainage systems that cause flooding. We want to hear from people who live, work, and play in these areas to ensure our solutions work for everyone.
A public meeting regarding proposed updates for Naugatuck (Highland Ave, Aetna St, Lynn St, Goodyear Ave, Millville Ave), Oxford (Fire Station/Kirk’s Pond), and Seymour (Mountain Road at Brooks St intersection) will be held:
Date: Thursday, December 12, 2024
Time: 6 PM – Naugatuck project discussion; 6:30 PM – Oxford project discussion; 7 PM – Seymour project discussion
Location: Town Hall Meeting Room, 486 Oxford Rd, Oxford
Zoom link: Bit.ly/naugyoxfordseymour
Residents are encouraged to attend, either in-person or online to share your feedback on current infrastructure or flooding concerns in these areas. Public feedback will play a pivotal role in guiding the design process.
These projects are funded by a Climate Resilience Fund grant from CT DEEP. NVCOG has partnered with engineering firm Luchs to design the upgrades and nonprofit Save the Sound to provide ecological assessments. Learn more here.
