These meetings are intended to provide the public an opportunity to learn about the Connecticut State Rail Plan update, provide feedback on the future of passenger and freight rail transportation in Connecticut, and speak directly with project team members. The Connecticut State Rail Plan is a federally-required planning document that establishes a vision for passenger and freight rail transportation throughout the state and identifies strategies, policies, and potential investments to support Connecticut’s rail network. The updated Connecticut State Rail Plan is expected to be completed winter 2027. Comments and questions can be submitted during the public comment period following the final public meeting.
