Regional Brownfields Partnership 2018 Annual Meeting

Join CT Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) Deputy Commissioner David Kooris and the Regional Brownfields Partnership to discuss current brownfields issues in Connecticut and to explore funding opportunities through the Naugatuck Valley Council of Governments (NVCOG). 

The NVCOG is hosting its annual meeting of the Regional Brownfields Partnership (RBP) Wednesday, September 12 at Naugatuck Valley Community College. The meeting will be held at Founder’s Hall Community Room, accessible via the East Entrance to the NVCC campus.

All participants are encouraged to arrive at 11:30am in order to enjoy a light lunch and to meet other members of the RBP community. Prior to RBP Business, the RBP will welcome Deputy Commissioner David Kooris of CT DECD for a discussion with us. Our EPA Project Officer, Jim Byrne, will be in attendance as well.

12:15 – 12:45pm : Introductions and Guest Speaker David Kooris, DECD Deputy Commissioner

12:45pm – 1:30pm : RBP Business

NOTE: Parking is limited. Walk, bike, bus, or carpool if you can! If driving, please plan some extra time to find a spot and to make your way over to Founder’s Hall. There are entrances on 3 of the 4 sides of the building, you may utilize the most convenient to you. The Community room is located centrally, directly off the main lobby.

About DECD Deputy Commissioner David Kooris

David Kooris joined the Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) in March of 2018.  He is responsible for orchestrating the placed-based components of the state’s economic development strategy including transit-oriented development, brownfields, capital projects, waterfront, and tourism.  His focus is to coordinate public sector infrastructure investment to best prepare communities for private sector growth while enhancing environmental sustainability and quality of life for all.
